Some Information on Turbinate Reduction by Dr. Robert Kotler
Turbinate surgery is used to treat allergies and nasal congestion when all other OTC and non surgical options have failed. The procedure can be performed by itself or in conjunction with a Septoplasty procedure to straighten and align the septum in the nasal cavity for more optimal breathing. Most Turbinate reduction procedures are painless and do not require pain medication after the process. In terms of surgeries, it is a relatively easy recovery.
